Lynne Lombard, director of Physical Therapy at Great Lakes Orthopaedic Center was recently honored with the Oakland University Alumni Community Service Award.
Lynne volunteers annually at the Traverse Bay Intermediate School District College Night as a representative of Oakland University. By sharing personal experiences of her time at Oakland, Lynne is able to connect with prospective students and their parents.
“The number of applications and enrolled students has increased from the northern Michigan area, which is certainly attributed to Lynne’s time as volunteer.” said Meghan Nyeste, senior recruitment adviser for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
In addition to her physical therapy work at Great Lakes Orthopaedic Center specializing in spine rehabilitation, aquatic therapy, and orthopaedic and sports medicine, she is also the sports medicine coordinator at St. Francis High School providing game coverage, training coaches, and leading summer conditioning and plyometrics.
